To identify the most effective houseplants for indoor air purification, I used a PostgreSQL query to calculate the total amount of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) removed by each plant. This page displays the results of that query, showcasing the top five performers ranked by their total VOC removal (measured in micrograms).
By filtering out entries with missing VOC data and sorting in descending order, I was able to highlight the strongest natural air purifiers. As shown, Gerbera daisy ranks highest, followed by Janet Craig and Marginata. These plants demonstrated superior performance in removing airborne toxins like benzene, TCE, and formaldehyde.
